The day-five rule

Most people never follow up. Day five is when it counts.

Put each job on your board when you apply. Dayfive notes the time and, five days later, sends you a ready note by email or text, with tips and what to say when they reply.

Add your first job

Day five Product Designer, Northwind

Applied Tuesday 10:42 AM. Your note is ready.

Hi Hiring team,
I applied for the Product Designer role on Oct 6. I am still interested.
If it helps, I can send anything else you need.

Sample. Also included: send-time tips and five likely replies.

01

Tailor the resume to the job.

Same employers, same dates, different bullets.

02

Track every application.

The resume you sent is on the card.

03

Follow up on day five.

Most people never do. That is the job Dayfive does.

Before

“Responsible for social media and helped the team.”

After

“Grew the campus account from 400 to 2,100 in a semester. Posted three times a week.”

Dayfive only writes what you already did.

Honest by design

It never fakes a fact.

A made-up number can cost you the offer at the background check. Dayfive keeps your employers, titles, and dates locked, and asks you for a number instead of guessing one.

  • Fails closed. If the AI writes something you did not give it, nothing is saved.
  • Readable by applicant systems. Plain structure, real text, no images of words. PDF and Word.
  • No watermark, ever. Your resume is yours, on the free plan too.

Questions

Before you start.

Will applicant tracking systems read my resume?+

Every template uses real text in a simple structure, with no tables or images of words. Download a PDF or a Word file, whichever the form asks for.

Can I start from the resume I already have?+

Yes. Upload a PDF, Word, or text file. Dayfive reads it, shows you what it found, and saves nothing until you check it.

Does Dayfive ever make up skills or numbers?+

No. Employers, titles, and dates stay locked. If a bullet needs a number you did not give, Dayfive asks you for it. If the AI goes beyond your facts, the result is thrown out.

Why day five?+

It is long enough that you are not rushing them and soon enough that your application is still fresh. One short note on day five, one more on day ten, then let it rest.

Do you apply for me?+

No. You apply on the company site. Dayfive does not scrape job boards or send applications on your behalf.

Can I cancel any time?+

Yes. Cancel from Settings when you sign the offer. There is no annual plan and nothing to lock you in.
